The UDA National Executive Committee (NEC) has appointed former ANC Party Leader Issa Timamy as its Deputy Party Leader. Senator Hassan Omar will be replaced as Secretary General by Hon. Omboko Milemba.

Omboko Milemba, MP for Emuhaya, served as the ANC’s Secretary General. Mr. Kevin Lunani will now serve as the Vice Chairperson of UDA.

H.E. Cecily Mbarire, chairperson of the UDA Party, has also appointed three former ANC officials as new UDA directors.

UDA chairperson, Embu Governor Mbarire, added that the new logo, imagery, typography, and brand of the combined party all included ANC identity symbols.

During the statehouse event that was chaired by UDA party leader President William Ruto the Embu Governor took a swipe at the former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua saying that UDA is longer a party of shareholding. “We are no longer a party that locked out other kenyans. We are no longer a party of shareholders and you don’t need a certificate to join the party.
