Renowned TikToker Obidan recently caused a stir among Kenyans by sharing a video of footballer Lengandry Otuoma’s gravesite just days after his burial in Gem, Siaya County. The post has sparked a range of reactions from the public.

Otuoma, who was known for his contributions to football, tragically died on December 21 while celebrating his wife’s birthday in Nairobi. He was buried on January 11 in his hometown of Gem. His burial attracted many notable figures, including Obidan, who took the time to honor Racheal Otuoma, the late footballer’s wife, for giving her husband a respectful farewell.

In the video, Obidan showed viewers the gravesite, which was still being worked on. A worker could be seen laying tiles and improving the area around the grave. The gravesite featured white and soft black tiles, and an open Bible was placed on top, along with Otuoma’s full name and a Bible verse, 2 Timothy 4:7. This verse speaks about fighting the good fight and finishing the race, reflecting the spirit of resilience.

Obidan spoke about the ongoing work at the gravesite, saying, “There is work in progress; they are still putting tiles in. By tomorrow this should be done. This is where Otuoma was buried. Thanks to everyone who helped. We don’t take it for granted. Those who contributed and those who prayed for Rachel, all this was made possible because of your support. The family is grateful. When Rachel feels okay, she will go live and talk to you.”

The video received mixed reactions from the public. Some people appreciated Obidan’s effort to honor Otuoma and recognized the importance of community support during such difficult times.

They felt the video was a way to celebrate Otuoma’s life and show gratitude for the help the family received.
