Blogger Aoko Maverick has made a sensational claim that a red vehicle, reportedly involved in flouting traffic rules, belongs to Brian Midiwo, the son of Raila Odinga’s cousin, the late Jakoyo Midiwo. The vehicle, along with another, was recently impounded by the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) for violating traffic laws on Magadi Road.
Aoko shared her personal encounter with Brian Midiwo, alleging he visited her when she was arrested and even offered to pay her bail. However, she claims that after making the offer, he disappeared without fulfilling his promise. Aoko expressed her disappointment, comparing Midiwo’s actions unfavorably to Babu Owino, another political figure.
In a striking statement, Aoko declared, “Whatever you do with that vehicle is up to you,” implying that the responsibility for the vehicle’s actions lies with its owner. She further highlighted the political undertones of the situation, framing it as a clash between Raila Odinga’s nephew and William Ruto’s political allies.
This revelation adds another layer to the ongoing narrative surrounding the impounded public service vehicles (PSVs). The NTSA had earlier reported that the two matatus were spotted disregarding traffic rules, prompting their impoundment. The incident has drawn attention to the issue of traffic regulation enforcement and the involvement of high-profile individuals in such matters.
As the story unfolds, it raises questions about accountability and the role of political connections in everyday legal matters. Aoko’s allegations, if true, could lead to further scrutiny of Brian Midiwo’s actions and his connections to the impounded vehicle.
