Raila odinga’s bid for the African Union chairperson has today gotten a major boost after President William ruto confirmed meeting the president of Togo, who unanimously agreed to support the former prime minister for the African Union chairmanship

This latest development is coming as good news to Kenya and President William ruto who recently revealed that Kenya is confident that the continent will support the former prime minister in his beid to ensure that he become the next African Union chairman.

Raila odinga has exuded confidence that his candidature will not only benefit the continent but will be of great benefits to Kenya and its neighbouring country because of the vast connection he has with the world.

President William ruto yesterday travelled to Ghana, where he is currently witnessing the swearing in of the new president after the recent election that calminated a few days ago.

The elections of the new African Union president are expected to happen next month with raila odinga expected to compete with the candidate from Djibouti who has also been on the campaign trail recently.
