Mathew Nyamlori, the Kenyan social media personality and former Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) employee, has been fighting a challenging battle against stage 3 gastric cancer since October 2023.

However, on January 4, 2025, as he celebrated his birthday, Nyamlori chose to focus on gratitude and faith despite his health struggles.

In a heartfelt post shared on his social media, Nyamlori thanked God for the gift of life, expressing his unwavering belief that he will recover.

He wrote, “Thanks God for adding me another year. Despite the pain, I will overcome it.

Let 2025 be good to me. Ohh Jesus! I am just a piece of clay, but you are the potter. Mould me in your best way. Let me be the best vessel to carry your Word. Nothing is impossible with you.”

Nyamlori, who is currently hospitalized at Aga Khan Hospital in Kisumu, has gained recognition for his resilience and positive outlook on life, even during the most difficult moments.

Known for sitting for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exam nine times, his determination has always stood out.

His birthday post resonated deeply with his followers, many of whom flooded the comments section with messages of support, love, and prayers.

One fan, Robert Dulloh, wished him a “happy birthday and quick recovery.” Another follower, Ritty Nyar Pamela, expressed, “Happy Birthday.

May God grant you all your heart desires in your new age in Jesus Mighty Name.”

Many others echoed similar sentiments, with words of encouragement like “You’ll overcome brother. Godspeed.”

Nyamlori’s fans continue to rally behind him, not only with kind words but also with financial support to help ease his medical expenses.

Since his diagnosis, he has undergone chemotherapy, with the first round being completed in February 2024.

However, due to the treatment’s limited success, he began a second round of chemotherapy in May 2024.

In addition to his ongoing treatment, Nyamlori has shared his M-Pesa number (0721816523) for those who wish to contribute financially to help with his medical bills.
