A 24-year-old man was lynched by irate revelers after he allegedly attacked an artiste at a night club in Bondo town in the wee hours of Boxing Day.
The man who has been identified as Anthony Ouma had attended a Christmas party music performance at a club in Bondo town when he allegedly attacked an artiste, by the name Odongo Swag while on stage.

According to Bondo Sub-County Police Commander Robert Aboki, the deceased, is said to have attacked the artiste and attempted to hit his head with a bottle before he was roughed up by other fans who had attended the event.

He said that in the fracas, the revelers descended on him with kicks and blows as others beat him with crude weapons, killing him.

Aboki who confirmed the 5am incident said Ouma’s body was later removed by the police and taken to Bondo sub-county hospital mortuary to await postmortem examinations as investigations begin into the matter.

He urged members of the public to act responsibly during this festive season, adding that security has been intensified in Bondo following a spate of attacks by unknown people over the past few weeks.
