Latest reports indicates that former vice-president Kalonzo Musyoka’s camp has reportedly ditched the Azimio name by coining a fresh name ahead of 2027 general election.
Ad reported by Tuesday’s Daily Nation publication, Kalonzo’s camp has ditched the Azimio name using a new title ” People’s Loyal Opposition”.
Arguably, it’s unknown on whether the camp is planning to leave Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Coalition which failed to clinch the presidency from William Ruto.
This comes amid reports that DAP Kenya party which is led by Eugene Wamalwa had started plans of leaving Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Coalition over betrayal.
” It is like being in a relationship with people who are not like minded” Mr Wamalwa, the former Defence Cabinet Secretary said.
This comes amid Raila Odinga’s decision to join Ruto’s led administration considering that he’s seeking to succeed Moussa Faki as AU chairperson, a position he’s being backed by President William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza government.
Also, Mr Odinga joined to government to unite the country as kenyans were relentless over failure of government to address key issues facing them.
On the other side, former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua is facing a fresh hurdle as government has challenged him to present information and evidence in support of his claim that government allowed sale of poisonous illicit brews in Mt Kenya region.
