Peter Muteti Njeru, famously known as The Nairobiyan on the X platform, has today been abducted by unknown people who are suspected to be agents of the state.
The unfortunate news was disclosed by renowned political activist Boniface Mwangi, who further revealed on his X platform that he was taken at Uthiru at around 9 AM.
Boniface Mwangi further revealed that the people who took him were heavily-armed, and they took him away from a local kiosk and put him in a Prado car that had the number plates of KCF O35M.
Boniface Mwangi further called for Peter Muteti to be released, because he believed that he was abducted unfairly because of a controversial post that he had made on his X platform.
Some hours ago, the young man had posted a photo of President William Ruto looking dead and he was lying in State House.
“Peter Muteti Njeru was abducted from Uthiru at 9:00 am. He was taken from a local kiosk by armed men who took him away in a Prado, car registration KCF O35M. @ThepemlinKee had posted the image on the left and his abduction is linked to his criticism of Kasongo. #FreePeterMuteti”.
The post by Boniface Mwangi also elicited massive reactions from netizens, who called for young man to be released as shown below.
Scrolling through the X account of Peter Muteti Njeru, it is clear that he had already deleted that controversial photo of President William Ruto.
He actually deleted it because he feared that soon police officers would arrest him.
This was clear in posts that he made few hours ago on his X platform, where he expressed his fears openly as shown below.
Even though he had deleted that photo, some people like blogger Abraham Mutai still reminded everyone that he was the one who first made the post.
