Caroline Chepkoech, a businesswoman from Bomet county narrowly escaped a raping escapade after offering lift to a stranger in her personal car. Narrating the ordeal, the traumatised woman revealed how she left Nairobi for her hometown only to encounter what will forever remain in her mind, a nasty ordeal.
Recalling the ordeal that happened on 26th February 2024, Caroline said, she left Nairobi at around 2 Pm, along Narok, she made a stop to have tea with a friend and later continued with her journey at around 8:30 Pm. Before she could continue with her journey, a lady popped in followed by a man, she wanted to make them vacate the seats but her act of kindness did not allow it go that way.
She was along Narok Bomet highway when the traumatising scene hapoened. The woman travelled for a short distance before alighting, the man on the other hand said he wants to be dropped 200m ahead. He requested to have the front seat because of visibility and so that he does not pass where he is supposed to alight.
However thing did not go as Caroline expected, after getting the front seat, the man demanded money, with her, Caroline had only Ksh2,000 which she gave him. The man did not positively take the amount claiming it was so small, on addition to it, he wanted to have intercourse with her.
Caroline was about to give in because she feared for her life, but ine thought saved the situation, she told the man she was on her periods, the man demanded to see and if she was lying then she counts herself dead. Luckily the man ascertained, banged the car door and told Caroline to dissappear before his mind changes. That is how narrowly she escaped from the hands of the stranger.
