Amid yesterday’s uhuru meeting with President William Ruto, a source has claimed how former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua visited Uhuru’s residence before his ouster as deputy president.

The source as reported by Tuesday’s Daily Nation publication as well reveals how the former prime minister Raila Odinga paid Uhuru a visit three months ago.

As reported, Gachagua had visited Uhuru Kenyatta at his Ichawera home few months before his Impeachment.

The details of the visit were not disclosed as per the publication. Also, Mr Odinga held a meeting with Uhuru Kenyatta with source saying he was seeking Uhuru’s advice over his African Union commission that he’s seeking to succeed Moussa Faki as AU chairperson.

This comes as president William Ruto is trying to win back Mt Kenya region which is already divided amid Rigathi Gachagua’s ouster as DP.

It should be noted that Gachagua had promised to announce his next political move with Ruto’s state labelling it as early campaigns ahead of 2027 general election.

On the other side, the former prime minister Raila Odinga is expected to take part in African Union debate this week that will aired by various channels.

Mr Odinga will be facing two candidates as he seeks to succeed Moussa Faki as AU chairperson, a position he has received immense support from some of African countries.
