The tragic deaths of Vincent Nyambunde and Angela Moraa have raised numerous questions, particularly regarding Vincent’s last communication with his family.
According to his sister, Vincent called their mother around 7 PM, informing her that he had been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital (KTRH). He ominously added that if anything were to happen to him, the family would be informed.
“He called my mother around 7pm and told her he was in the hospital and admitted to ICU and added that if anything happens to him, we shall be told,” his sister said. His brother stated that the family was unaware the deceased had a girlfriend. “I was not aware my brother had a girlfriend,” he said.
This call occurred just days before the couple was found dead in their rented apartment, holding hands. The family became concerned when they could not reach Vincent after his call, prompting them to visit his workplace, where they learned he had not reported for work since November 27.
Vincent’s brother expressed shock at the revelation of his brother’s relationship with Angela, stating, “I was not aware my brother had a girlfriend.” This indicates that the family was not privy to Vincent’s personal life, particularly his relationship with Angela, who had traveled from the United States to visit him.
The couple’s deaths have not only shocked their families but also the wider community in Kisii County. Investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding their deaths, with authorities looking into the timeline of events leading up to their tragic end.
The situation has left many unanswered questions, particularly regarding Vincent’s health prior to his call to his mother and the nature of his relationship with Angela. As the investigation unfolds, more details are expected to emerge, shedding light on this heartbreaking incident.
