Deputy President Kithure Kindiki id said to have started expressing worries over increased popularity of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

Reliable sources have revealed that Kindiki has started reaching out to several leaders from Mt. Kenya West region seeking their help in countering Gachagua.

According to Lawyer and High Court Advocate Wahome Thuku, Kindiki has allegedly reached out to Murang’a Governor Irungu Kang’ata.

In an alleged text message to Kang’ata, Kindiki is said to have enquired on the direction the mountain was going politically with the rising influence of Gachagua.

However, Kang’ata’s response did not sit well with Kindiki, promising him to visit Murang’a county to test the waters himself.

In a move to counter Gachagua’s popularity, Kindiki is alleged to have advised President William Ruto to use all the state state machinery to cocounter him claiming that his efforts to mobilize Kenyans against the government agenda needed to be neutralized.

Kindiki is also said to have expressed fears of visiting Mt. Kenya West with fears of being victimized due to increase political tension in the region against Ruto’s administration since Gachagua’s ouster from office.
