Edwin Maiyo, a native of Uasin Gishu County, has received his Master’s degree from the United Kingdom. Thanks to his parents, he achieved a remarkable milestone that he never thought was possible.

Maiyo mentioned that even though they didn’t have the chance, his parents encouraged him. A native of Uasin Gishu County, Edwin Maiyo earned a master’s degree from Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, UK.

Hard work, perseverance, and the unfailing support of his parents—to whom he has dedicated his degree—are all responsible for his accomplishment, which he calls a dream come true.

Maiyo talked to TUKO.co.ke about his incredible academic path, which started with modest beginnings. “It is a journey I never believed possible,” he declared. “I never even knew I could ever study abroad.”

Maiyo was extremely appreciative of his parents’ sacrifices in order to support his desire to pursue an education.

His parents trusted him enough to go to considerable measures to keep him overseas, so he took a journey down memory lane. He dedicated his outstanding achievement to his parents in a meaningful gesture.

Maiyo admits that even though he was unable to continue his schooling, his parents helped him. He said that they were crucial to his achievement and that he would always be grateful to them.

“This degree is for them,” he declared. “Just to tell them they are the best parents in the world.” Jokingly, he gave them the achievement, saying that he would search for his and that they had earned it by default.
