Personal grooming is considered one of the strongest achievements a person can use to attract attention of the public. However, for Willis Raburu, it is different since it only attracted a negative energy even from her fans. Raburu recently decided to share his experience in the Citizen Tv after her had shifted from Short hair to dreadlocks. He summarizes his experience in three words; betrayal, selfishness and greed.
According to Tuko.co.ke, Willis revealed that his dreadlocks caused him a lot of havoc as many people were against them. He revealed that some people even approached his boss and chairman or the Royal Media Services SK Macharia claiming that his dreadlocks were a bad influence to young people.
According to SK Macharia, many people pushed for Willis Raburu to be fired from Citizen Tv just because if his dreadlocks. How were they even affecting his work? Luckily, Mr. Macharia ignored most of the claims as he didn’t have any negative charges against Mr. Raburu.
The stigma that Willis faced have him a different view of the public. He said that people have become haters. He has however been growing in his job with a lot of new opportunities coming his way.
Media jobs are part of fine arts and therefore it matched with dreadlocks which is also part of artistic outfit. Why would people have problems with Raburu’s hair? After all he is very decent and loves people.
In the interview, Willis was surprised that some of the people who were against his locks were very close friends that he cherished a lot. He felt betrayed by close friends. Some of his colleagues who were anti his dreadlocks only pointed out that they were selfish and envied his position.
