Akothee reflected on how Nelly Oaks stood by her side during her first-ever graduation ceremony at Akothee Academy, despite feeling exhausted and unwell.
The artist, who is often surrounded by drama in her life, shared how just a week before the graduation ceremony, they were so busy that she began to worry if they would even make it to the event.
“What touched me the most was how Nelly pushed through, despite being exhausted and unwell. That night, as he struggled with nausea, I was scaredâI didnât know if he would make it, but he did.
We flew to Kisumu like Riddick, barely sleeping. I was worried about taking him to the village in that condition, but his strength kept me going,” she said.Akothee revealed that despite not feeling well, her partner stayed at the school until the ceremony was completed.
Once the event concluded, Nelly congratulated the singer for the growth of her school and assured her that it would become even bigger.
“This gesture really touched my heart. Now you understand why, even when we make mistakes, we forgive each otherâwe are just human,” she said.
