President William Ruto is expected to face tough competition in the 2027 national elections. Numerous strong figures have already stated in public that they intend to resist his presidency. The president has yet to fulfill his prior campaign promises to give Kenyans presents.

Given the status of the nation, a substantial majority of citizens face expensive living costs, making life unpleasant, particularly for those from lower socioeconomic groups. Ruto’s principal campaign technique, using the term “hustler,” helped him win the bulk of past elections. He also promised to implement the Bottom Up Economic Model platform if elected.

However, as of yet, nothing has happened to fulfill that promise. Opposition leaders have put tremendous pressure on the government to cater for Kenyans. In my opinion, they are the two powerful figures creating William political worry in the run-up to the 2018 elections. Odinga Raila & Musyoka Kalonzo Raila Odinga, Azimio’s leader and former Prime Minister, represented the alliance in the 2022 elections, however he was lost by a short margin.

With their latest national efforts, the Alliance appears to be refocusing on the top slot and sharpening their instruments. Honorable Kalonzo Musyoka, the leader of the Wiper Party, has already indicated that he plans to run for president this time.

The politician believes he is the most qualified opponent for Samoei in 2027 and will win first thing in the morning, especially with Odinga’s support and endorsement. Many Kenyans have already lost faith in the existing government, and if the incumbent leader breaks his promises, they may decide to back new leadership in the upcoming elections, making it easier for the Kalonzo-Raila ticket to win.

In your opinion, will Ruto be able to return home in 2027 thanks to Raila and Kalonzo’s tickets? Please leave your thoughts in the comments box below, and remember to subscribe for more informative stuff.
