According to available sources of news, the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) has broken morning silence with an important message to Kenyans, following a high-level consultative meeting at the Defence Headquarters in Nairobi. The meeting, held at the invitation of Defence Principal Secretary Dr. Patrick Mariru, brought together key officials from the Ministry of Defence, Parliament, and the State Law Office.

Among the notable attendees were the Clerk of the National Assembly, Mr. Samuel Njoroge, and officials from the State Law Office, who were hosted by Dr. Mariru. The meeting was part of ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration between these institutions in the legislation process concerning defence-related matters.

According to an official statement shared by the Ministry of Defence on Twitter, the purpose of the meeting was to further solidify the already strong working relationships between the Ministry of Defence (MoD), Parliament, and the State Law Office. Also in attendance were key military personnel, including Brigadier Yvonne Kerubo, the Chief of Legal Services at the Defence Headquarters, and Brigadier Samuel Kimani, the Chief of Strategic Policy and Plans. Their presence highlighted the importance of having both legal and strategic input in the discussions on defence legislation.

This meeting reflects the government’s broader efforts to ensure smooth coordination and cooperation between various organs in handling critical national security issues.
