The lengthy silence by former President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta has continued to raise eyebrows in the country regarding his feelings and opinions on myriads of issues expiring in the country.
Infact, after handing over power to President William Samoei Ruto, Uhuru chose to remain mum and tight-lipped on several issues.
However, he still reamins the party leader of Jubilee and Chairman of Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party’s Council.
Of late, there have been speculations that Uhuru had fired a warning to former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga against joining forces with President Ruto. According to Uhuru, it was alleged that he promised to do anything at his disposal to make Raila President in 2027 or even earlier.
With the impeachment of Rigathi Gachagua as the Deputy President seemingly turning things upside down in the political arena, Uhuru’s has too continued to remain mum despite some of his key allies openly and vehemently downplaying and opposing the same.
In what has reportedly emerged as a mega political move by Uhuru and his political wing, Jubilee Party has now boldly announced that it would support Wiper Party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka for the 2027 presidential contest.
Jubilee, which has seemingly broken ranks with Raila and his ODM Party, is seemingly in a reset mode after the fateful crumbling of Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party.
The Uhuru-led party through Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni, has seemingly parted ways with Raila whom they accuse of going to bed with President Ruto and tactically scheming for the division of Mount Kenya region.
