Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s late brother’s son has finally responded to Robert Alai’s remarks on being disinherited of his late father’s wealth. He has broken his silence at a time when his uncle Rigathi Gachagua is facing intense public scrutiny and case petitions following his recent impeachment by both the National Assembly and the Senate.

Kileleshwa ward MCA Robert Alai had recently questioned Ken Nderitu’s absence in protecting his uncle from the allegations tabled against him in Parliament with his family case files being opened to the public. Alai had stated that Ken who now is in his mid-thirties, had formerly sought his uncle Rigathi Gachagua’s guidance on managing the family businesses after his father’s death.

Taking to Robert Alai’s official X account (formerly Twitter) and reacting through a comment, Ken emphasized that his uncle, Gachagua, had taught him good lessons on how to manage a business. He made it clear that the management of his late father’s property has been done in the way it should, thereby disapproving of the disinheritance rumors by Robert Alai.

Ken Nderitu also expressed his disapproval of Alai’s statements, accusing him of using his family’s loss as a political tool. He condemned Robert Alai’s attempts to convey private family matters to the public for political gain, urging him to stop leveraging their family for his political career.

“My uncle has taught me a lot about business, the estate of my late father has been handled in a way he would have been satisfied with. So stop using my family’s loss and bereavement in a means to make relevant or propagate your fledgling political career,” Ken stated while responding to Robert Alai.
