Former President Uhuru Kenyatta has remarked that he does not say much these days, and that all he does is wait and watch how things unfold in the country. Mr. Kenyatta, who was speaking amid the impeachment of Mr. Rigathi Gachagua as Kenya’s deputy president, went on to remark that he occasionally clutches his head in bewilderment.
This is happening at the same time that renowned Jubilee politician, Honourable Jeremiah Kioni, has rejected the candidacy of Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki as Kenya’s deputy president.
Several sources have revealed that President William Ruto has named interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki as the next deputy president following the impeachment of Mr Rigathi Gachagua.
Mr. Gachagua was impeached by members of the National Assembly after 281 voted in favour of it; he was also impeached by Senators after the majority of them voted in favour of it.
He has been accused of acquiring large sums of money in less than two years as deputy, as well as engaging in conflict of interest operations.
