Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has finally weighed in on all the rumors about him possibly being named Deputy President. He’s made it clear – if President Ruto offers him the job, he’ll turn it down.

Kalonzo pointed out that even though there’s been a lot of chatter about who’ll take over the Deputy President role, no one has officially approached him about it. According to him, Ruto knows he wouldn’t accept the job anyway.

“First of all, the DP position has not been offered and Kenyans should know that President Ruto intends to have a deputy president in place by Friday, he has not approached me because he knows I will not accept,” Kalonzo said.

These comments come at a time when political conversations are buzzing over who will fill the Deputy President’s spot, especially after the last person left the office. Many big names are being tossed around as possible replacements.

Kalonzo, a veteran politician and former Vice President, has always hinted at a bigger role in the national government. However, his latest remarks make it clear he’s not interested in the Deputy President’s seat – at least not now.

His words also show he’s setting boundaries on what he wants politically. While he hasn’t shut the door on working with Ruto, it looks like he’s aiming for something bigger than just being deputy.

With the political scene constantly shifting, it’s unclear who will eventually step into the Deputy President role. But one thing’s for sure – Kalonzo’s comments have made it clear where he stands.
