Some few minutes ago, Kenyans.co.ke revealed the current situation in various parts of the country at a time when the senate is debating the impeachment of DP Rigathi Gachagua.

In Nairobi, reports says that various roads have been closed in fears that protests might erupt becoming a security threat to senators. Among the roads closed are parliament road, Harambee avenue and City hall way. This means that access to City hall, parliament and Harambee avenue have been restricted.

On other hand, protests have been reported in Kirinyaga county where residents are opposing the impeachment of DP Rigathi Gachagua. Reports says that Gachagua needs 23 senators for him to survive because all senators including nominated senators will be voting. As an alternative to survival, Gachagua will need a ruling from the court that will nullify his impeachment if approved by the senate. The voting is scheduled to take place tomorrow. If impeached, Ruto will have to pick a new deputy.
