Peter Kaluma, a well-known ally of Azimio La Umoja and a public figure in Kenya, recently shared his thoughts on social media, sparking conversations about potential changes in the country’s leadership.

In his post, he hinted that by next week, Kenya might see a Deputy President who brings new qualities to the position.

According to Kaluma, the incoming Deputy President will demonstrate respect for the President and maintain the dignity of the office they hold. He emphasized that this individual would also respect key institutions like the Judiciary and the National Security organs.

Kaluma stressed that this new Deputy President would be a leader who respects all Kenyans, without advocating for the exclusion or discrimination of any ethnic groups or regions when it comes to development.

His message also conveyed the importance of compassion, particularly toward widows and orphans, noting that such qualities are essential in a leader who represents the people.

The statement from Kaluma points to a broader call for inclusive leadership, where holding a cabinet position is not the only form of participation in governance.

He suggested that opposition members should accept their roles and wait for the next election if they are not in government. His remarks touched on the importance of integrity, urging leaders not to allow corruption to flourish for personal gain.

Additionally, Kaluma noted that there are individuals in the political landscape who prioritize the long-term future over short-term gains.

He hinted that the people from the mountain region (Mount Kenya) are not overly concerned with the position of Deputy President at the moment. Instead, they are focused on a future where leadership will not be swayed by mass hysteria or deceit, but by informed decisions and a clear strategy for the country’s progress.

In his concluding thoughts, Kaluma appeared critical of leaders who fail to demand respect for all Kenyans, pointing out that some may turn a blind eye to corruption as long as they benefit.
