Why did Mjaka Mfine irk passengers?
Mitchell, alias Mjaka Mfine, posted a video of herself loudly calling a conductor to give her the money.

“Give me my change. You’ve been saying you will give it to me and haven’t yet,” she loudly said in a Dholuo accent.

The conductor said he would give it to her, but she would not relent.

“You are making noise, and at this rate, you will have to alight,” an angry female passenger interjected.

However, Mitchell took her head on by asking: “Is it your money or mine? I can slap everyone here and buy this car.”

The conductor wondered why she was incensed over KSh 50, and Mitchell asked whether she’d picked the money from the road.

“You are an old man trying to argue with a young woman,” she said.

Other passengers tried mediating the situation, but an angry Mitchell would hear none.

After causing the ruckus, she abruptly changed her attitude and said: “Poleni basi.”

Her video tickled many Kenyans, and many expressed admiration for her courage.
