Just a few days after he was promoted to become the next deputy inspector General of police the new DIG Gilbert Masengeli has made several changes at the National Police which mostly affects the traffic officers.
According to the report, the deputy inspector general of police has transferred several officers from the traffic department in a bid to fight corruption, which has become rampant in our major highways in the country.
Among the areas that have been affected include the regions of Rift Valley where a sum of the trophic commanders have been shifted to a different department in a bit to eliminate cases of corruption following numerous complaints from members of the public.
The deputy inspector general of police has said that major changes are expected in the National Police service in bid to ensure that service delivery in the country is top notch.
President William ruto a few days ago appointed and new inspector General of police after Gilbert, who was acting, was promoted to his new position as the deputy inspector General of police.
