Dp Gachagua was visibly angry while answering questions about his deteriorating relations with the president but somehow managed to control himself and address all questions directed at him by citizen host Sam Gituku.
During the interview,the DP expressed his concerns and frustrations over a viral meme that went viral When King Charles III visited the country months ago. The meme showed the president walking with King and a window showing the DP locked out of the event trying to peep through it.
According to Gachagua,the meme was a clear photoshop created by a renowned blogger working under the president. It was meant to demean and mock the DP who at the time when he was outside the country doing state duties.
Gachagua further claimed that the blogger not only created the photoshop but also circulated it in his blog until a time when Kenyans complained about it forcing him to delete it from his blog. Gachagua was at a loss to explain how an employee of state house would have the courage to do such to a sitting DP.
On his part Itumbi who is a communication strategist downplayed the allegations of mockery and undermining the DP by claiming that the image was a mere piece of art meant to elicit laughter. He however distanced himself from it’s creation stating that it was made by those against UDA for social media banter.
