Peter Mbugua, the visionary behind the acclaimed Quiver Lounge & Grill, has cemented his reputation as a leading figure in Nairobi’s nightlife. His flagship venue, strategically located along the Thika Superhighway across from Garden City, stands out as a bustling hotspot that draws large crowds every weekend. The lounge’s expansive design allows guests to enjoy their drinks while taking in the lively scene of the superhighway.
Building on the success of his original venue, Mbugua has recently launched a new Quiver Lounge & Grill branch in Kenol, Murang’a. This new spot mirrors the original’s successful formula with its chic blend of green and red decor, offering a stylish and inviting atmosphere for patrons.
The Quiver Lounge has also hosted high-profile visitors, including President William Ruto and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, who dined at the venue with other UDA leaders after a church service during the recent election period.
However, the lounge’s popularity has not been without controversy. It was among 43 entertainment spots flagged for noise pollution issues. Fortunately, the situation was resolved amicably after discussions with the Nairobi County Liquor Board.
In a notable gesture, Mbugua invited Catholic priests to bless the new Kenol branch, an act that gained attention through a viral video. Mbugua explained to Citizen Digital that this blessing is part of his tradition to seek divine protection for new business ventures.
“Nightclubs, like any business, face various risks, and we seek blessings to ensure the smooth running of our operations. Our contributions to the church reflect our values and commitment,” he stated.
Through his ventures, Mbugua skillfully combines business savvy with personal values, crafting vibrant spaces that resonate with Nairobi’s nightlife while fostering a sense of community and faith.
