News reaching us just now is that popular comedian turned activist Eric Omondi have given President William Ruto a one week ultimatum to dissolve the parliament and fire his entire Cabinet.

Speaking during an interview with a local TV station today morning, Omondi also clarified what will happen should the President fail to dissolve parliament within the one week.

Eric Omondi claimed that the Parliament of Kenya is null and void, arguing that Kenyans voted a vote of no confidence when they rejected the Finance Bill 2024.

He said that the best thing that can be done is for the government to dissolve parliament so that Kenyans can go into a new election, adding that Kenyans do not trust the incumbent Members of Parliament.

Eric Omondi said that the MPs do not respect the views of young Kenyans who came out in large numbers to reject the finance Bill. He claimed that the MPs have neither spoken about the youthful Kenyans who lost their lives during the anti-Finance Bill demonstrations nor rejected the new Funding model imposed on the Kenyan youths joining Universities in Kenya.

“The MPs don’t respect their views or the views of the young people. Even since they got back to Parliament, they have never spoken about young Kenyans who lost their lives, the new funding model or anything that concerns Kenyans,” he claimed.

The popular activist informed that should President William Ruto fail to fire his Cabinet and dissolve Parliament within one week, he will organise the mother of all demonstrations in the country.

“We are going to calk for a nationwide, unified demonstrations and the conditions are very clear. President William Ruto must dissolve parliament and fire his Cabinet,” Eric Omondi said.
