Kenyan boyband Sauti Sol has announced the return of their concert series, Sol Fest.

In a video shared with the Star, the band revealed that the concert will take place during the second-to-last week of December 2024. The event will be divided into two parts: a VIP show on December 19 and a fans show on December 21.

The video features a lineup of prominent Kenyan artists, including former Sol Generation members Nviiri and Bensoul, as well as Nyashinski and Khaligraph Jones, among others.

This announcement comes despite Sauti Sol’s earlier decision to take a break from the group to focus on their individual careers. In November 2023, they had announced that their final show as a group would be their last performance before embarking on solo projects.

Dubbed ‘Sauti Sol’s Last Dance,’ the previous Sol Fest concert saw over 15,000 attendees despite some concerns over ticket prices. The event featured performances by rappers Khaligraph Jones and Nyashinski, singer Dela, and P-Unit, alongside a special appearance by Sol Generation Boys, Nviiri and Bensoul, who warmed up the stage for Sauti Sol.

The upcoming Sol Fest promises to be a memorable continuation of their legacy.
