In the first eight months of 2024, Kenya has witnessed several high-profile weddings that have captured the attention of the nation, bringing together prominent figures from various sectors.

Kevin Muasya’s Wedding

Kevin Muasya, son of Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka, exchanged vows with his beloved Sharon Nthonki on May 11, 2024. The traditional wedding took place in Maanzoni, Machakos County, in a ceremony attended by notable political figures such as Azimio leader Raila Odinga, former Defence CS Eugene Wamalwa, and former Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya, among others.

Kevin was elegantly dressed in an emerald green traditional outfit, while Sharon complemented him with a royal purple attire. The groomsmen and bridesmaids were also impeccably dressed, adding to the grandeur of the event. Sharon currently holds a position as the County Executive Committee Member for Trade, Tourism, Industry, and Innovation in Machakos County.

Peter Miano’s Traditional Ceremony

On April 6, 2024, Peter Miano, son of Tourism and Wildlife Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano, married his fiancée Wambui Kibe in a lavish traditional wedding in Nairobi. The event drew a host of influential leaders, including Defence CS Soipan Tuya and several former Cabinet Secretaries.

The bride radiated elegance in a wine-red ensemble, accompanied by a stylish hand fan, while the groom opted for a traditional Kikuyu attire in brown and white.

Stephen Letoo’s Wedding

Prominent Citizen TV journalist Stephen Letoo wed Irene Renoi Kiptikoi on April 20, 2024, at the Methodist Church in Narok County. The couple later celebrated with a grand reception at the Ole Ntimama Stadium. Kipchumba Karori’s Wedding

Kipchumba Karori, legal advisor to President William Ruto, tied the knot with Dorothy Jepchumba on May 31, 2024, at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church in Nairobi. The couple left the church in a vintage car, adding a touch of class to the event. The wedding saw the attendance of notable individuals, including First Lady Rachel Ruto, Roads and Transport CS Davis ChirChir, and Head of Public Service Felix Koskei.

First Lady Rachel Ruto congratulated the newlyweds and wished them a lifetime of happiness and unity. Karori, who had previously shown interest in the Uasin Gishu senatorial seat, now serves in a key role at State House after an unsuccessful run in the party primaries.
