Hon. Mwangi Kiunjuri has revealed that he allegedly turned down an offer to take up a higher position within the current government, either as Deputy President or a Senior Minister.According to his revelation on a popular local radio station, Kiunjuri said that he believes accepting such a role would have undermined his political ambitions and standing.
The seasoned politician, who has a strong following, particularly in the Mt. Kenya region, has been vocal about his desire to play a more significant role in the country’s leadership. He has built a reputation as a leader who is not afraid to speak his mind and often criticizes policies and decisions that he believes fail to serve the best interests of the people.
The politician revealed that while the offer might have been seen as an opportunity by some, he felt that it did not align with his long-term political goals.
The politician said, “I am focused on serving my people and pushing for the development of our region. Taking the new role would limit my ability to influence key decisions that affect our nation.”
The former Member of Parliament’s decision to reject the offer has sparked discussions among political analysts, with some viewing it as a strategic move to position himself for a more prominent role in the future.
