A video shared on X of popular Kenyan billionaire Jimmy Wanjigi’s son has left many Kenyans talking with many even wondering how that could happen. Unlike many other protests of the past, the recent Gen Z protests attracted even those in the highest social class who saw the need to fight for a better Kenya.
The son to the billionaire also made it to the streets a clear indication that the fight was not just for those in the lowest social class. In the video, Wanjigi junior is championing for the rights of the common Mwananchi including economic liberation.
The video of the young Wanjigi seems to have inspired many who have felt that the cause of action by the Gen Z generation is worth fighting for. With the father being one of the most vocal critics of Ruto administration, the gesture of the son is only but a testament of the fact that an apple never fells far from the tree.
In the video, the son seems to be struggling with the impact of the teargas but still remains committed to the cause of action. See how Kenyans reacted to the video;
”Son of a billionaire on the streets demonstrating so that the Government listens to the cries of the poor.”
”This is so serious, so Jimmy sent his own son to the streets.”
”Everyone is indeed tired of this regime.”
”Wanjigi Junior is getting acquainted to politics from the ground.
