Controversial political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has again weighed in on the murky waters of Kenyan politics by claiming the much anticipated ‘Nane nane’ protests that had been dubbed the mother of all protests flopped.

In a cryptic post on social media, Ngunyi asserted that the protests were orchestrated by a high-level state insider within President William Ruto’s led government with his sentiments likely to raise eyebrows across the political divide.

Ngunyi’s sentiments are on the eve of GenZ hitting the streets demanding better governance and accountability from President William Ruto’s led government as they bemoan the rising cost of living and unemployment.

According to Ngunyi, the ‘Nane nane’ protests which had been heavily publicized and organized by GenZ failed to live up to its billing because it was being manipulated from within the state apparatus.

However, the tyranny of numbers architect warns that despite the ‘Nane nane’ failing, that won’t be the end of it. He argues that the owner of the revolution was regrouping and it won’t be long before he resurfaces and attempts another revolution.

“Public Notice: The owner of the revolution is a state Insider. And he is re-grouping. That is why 88 Failed today,” Ngunyi posted.
