The deployment of Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) millitary into the streets during generation Z youth group demonstrations, has today come to haunt former Defence Cabinet Secretary Hon Aden Duale during his vetting for Environment and Forestry docket.

During his vetting process as quoted by Citizen Television, Duale has been tasked to explain to the public what was the intention behind his move to deploy the military officers, into the streets during the Gen Z’s anti-government demonstrations. Where the KDF officers were deployed to various major towns’ streets to deal with demonstrators.

Kathiani Member of Parliament Hon Robert Mbui has asked Duale to tell Kenyans, whether the intention to deploy the military to the streets was to kill the protestors. Since the military officers are known to be using live bullets, grenades and bombs unlike the police officers who are only using; teargas cannisters, rubber bullets and water canons to contain protestors.
