The Golden Jubilee celebration for the Thika Memorial Church school is currently ongoing in Mount Kenya and, more specifically, in muranga County where several leaders drawn from the region are in attendance

This golden celebration marks a very important day in the calendar of the institution, which has been in existence for the past 100 years since it was first inaugurated by the missionaries.

Among the leaders present and who have been invited as the guests of Honour include the deputy president of the Republic of Kenya, who is in the company of several top ranking officials from the region.

Accompanying the deputy president to the event is the area governor Irungu Kangata, the governor for nyeri County Mutahi Kahiga, nominated member of parliament for jubilee Sabina Chege and a host of others.

Political uterances are expected to take a centre stage following the recent remarks by a section of leaders that the deputy president has been fueling tribal politics in the region.

The recent conversation of Gachagu impeachment that has been claimed to be tabled before Parliament is also expected to be at the centre of today’s remarks at the event.
