Some few minutes ago, the president of this country, Dr William Samoe Ruto came out to reveal details of his private meeting at State House Nairobi.
As seen from his tweet, Ruto has revealed that he had a meeting with the African Union panel of wise. According to Ruto, this panel was led by Effie Owuor. Others present during this meeting is the former president of Burundi hon Domitien Ndayizeye. “Met the Africa Union Panel of Wise led by former Judge Effie Owour, State House, Nairobi. Former Burundi President Domitien Ndayizeye and Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi were present.” Said Hon William Ruto.
Without revealing the agenda of this meeting, Ruto said that Kenya is at the forefront to see realization of peace in South Sudan which he said there’s a significant step towards that achievement. “Kenya remains steadfast in the South Sudan journey towards the consolidation of peace and security. We are glad there has been demonstrable progress in bringing the country back to stability ahead of elections.” He said.
