The ruling party in the republic of Kenya under president William Ruto has reportedly called for an urgent meeting following leadership wrangles that were witnessed at party headquarters in Nairobi today in the morning.
As reported by Citizen TV, UDA through their chairperson hon Cecily Mbarire has announced that they will be holding a NEC meeting on friday. Though she didn’t reveal the agenda, it’s very obvious that they will be discussing the ouster of Cleophas Malala as the secretary general of the party among other issues. “UDA to convene a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting this Friday, following Tuesday’s ‘ouster’ of the party’s Secretary-General, Cleophas Malala.” Says the report.
Mbarire on her address at UDA headquarters said that Cleophas Malala is still their secretary general and anyone planning to remove him should use the right channel. Malala was blamed by the UDA founding members for joining hands with Tawe movement in western region that has been undermining prime cabinet secretary hon Musalia mudavadi and Speaker Moses Wetangula.
