Some few minutes ago, the former ODM parliamentary aspirant for Kamukunji constituency Hon Alinur Mohamed revealed that he has been arrested.
On his facebook post at 12:37 PM today, Alinur said that he has been arrested by people believed to be police officers and taken to industrial area. However, he has not revealed the reason for his arrest. “I have been arrested and taken Nairobi area” Said Hon Alinur Mohamed.
Alinur Mohamed unsuccessfully tried to vie for Kamukunji MP seat using ODM party but he didn’t manage to secure the ticket. He has been one of the top influencers of the Gen Z protests which seems to have resumed. His arrest is coming in just some few hours after a veteran journalist was arrested in Karen but later on, he was released unconditionally over what the police termed as mistaken identity. There are fears that more people might be arrested in connection to Gen Z protests.
