Man dead

Guests and staff at the Downtown City Hotel were left puzzled and concerned on Monday evening after hearing unusual sounds from one of the rooms. Around 8 PM, several employees and guests reported hearing loud groaning noises coming from Room 204.

Curious and worried about the occupant’s well-being, two hotel employees, Jessica Brown and Mark Thompson, decided to check on the situation. They approached the door and knocked several times. After a brief pause, a woman’s voice responded, saying, “I’m fine, please go away.”

Despite the reassurance, the employees remained uneasy. “The sounds were really strange, like someone in pain,” Jessica said. “We wanted to make sure she was okay.”

The hotel’s standard procedure in such situations involves checking on the guest if there’s a potential emergency. The staff consulted with the hotel manager, Lisa Carter, who decided to call the guest directly to ensure everything was truly fine. When the woman answered the phone, she insisted again that she was perfectly okay and asked not to be disturbed.

Lisa Carter explained, “We have to respect our guests’ privacy, but we also have to ensure their safety. It’s a delicate balance.”

To ensure no further disturbances, hotel security conducted a quiet hallway check throughout the night. There were no additional noises reported, and the guest checked out the following morning without incident.
