In June, Maina Wanjigi, the father of Jimmy Wanjigi, passed away in Nairobi Hospital while undergoing care.

The businessman’s son Wanjigi presented his family during the liturgy at Nairobi Chapel, and he will be laid to rest this Friday, July 4.

Kenyans were in awe of Wanjigi’s gorgeous son Maina, and his charming daughter Wambui’s wonderful looks.

At the Nairobi Chapel, businessman Jimmy Wanjigi presented his father’s funeral, introducing his stunning daughter and dashing son.

The businessman’s father, Maina Wanjigi, passed away in a Nairobi hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) following a stroke.

His family and friends attended the memorial mass that the family held at Nairobi Chapel. He said that God had blessed his family as he introduced his two children, a son named Maina and a daughter named Wambui, during the mass.

“My dear wife Irene, I am so sure many of you have seen her, and we are blessed with two lovely children, Wambui and Maina, both still in school.”

His lovely daughter looked great in a black garment that fit the funeral motif of the family. There were yellow flowers dangling from each of the ladies’ outfits. His son looked dapper in a form-fitting suit.

The ministries of Agriculture, Public Works, and Tourism were among those whose dockets Maina held. In addition, he served as the National Assembly’s representative for the Kamkunji seat for 25 years beginning in 1969, when he succeeded the killed Tom Mboya.

He entered national politics more deeply after resigning from his parliamentary seat and allied himself with Kenneth Matiba, the leader of the opposition movement at the time against Moi.

Prior to the 1992 general elections, which KANU won against opposition from Matiba’s Ford Asili, Maina had a falling out with Moi over the latter’s intention to become a socialist. This disagreement continued after he joined Matiba.

The deceased was well-known in business in addition to politics. He was chairman of Carbacide Investments, a Nairobi-based business that produces and sells dry ice, carbon dioxide gas, and industrial and medical applications.
