Photo grid captured Eric holding parliament Mace during protests
According to information shared by the family, 27-year old Eric Kayoni Shieni stormed the streets just as other youths did with an aim of airing out their grievances. Little did he know that this was the end of him. His brother Fred Siloma shared that on the fateful day, he had not joined his brother in the street but he advised him to be and stay safe. During the protests, Eric shared his photos and therefore he knew what his brother was wearing.
Later in the evening, Fred says he scrolled through social media platforms and saw photos of many injured protestors, a thing that sent chills down his spine. He then received a call from their sister weeping as she called out the name of Eric. Without wasting time, Fred visited KNH and positively identified his brother basing on his dress code.
Eric was a student at University of Nairobi who was due to graduate in September with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He was also a student at KCA University and had just passed the highest level of the Certified Public Accountant CPA section six.
