Former prime minister Raila Odinga has issued a brief statement after conducting a high profile meeting on Monday.
In his brief statement he noted that he had held a lively discussion with some of the governors who were elected under his Azimio la umoja Coalition.
Among those he met with is the Kilifi county governor Gideon Mungaro and his Mombasa county counterpart Abdullswamad Sherrif Nassir.
“We had a lively discussion with the governors of Kilifi and Mombasa counties, where we discussed their ongoing concerns and regional development goals.”former Prime Minister Raila Odinga in a statement on Monday evening.
This is the first time that the Orange Democratic Movement party leader is being seen in public after having gone silent for the last few days.
The former presidential candidate is yet to issue his statement on whether he supporting the ongoing anti financial bill 2024 protests.
However his foot soldiers in Azimio coalition have already issued a statement noting that they have the blessing of the party leader to oppose the bill.
