Several Kenyans today went to the streets of Nairobi County to demonstrate against the Finance Bill 2024. The Bill has been termed as punitive by Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance leaders and they have since urged their Member of the National Assembly to reject the Finance Bill.
And now, ODM leader from Nairobi County Hon Alinur Mohamed has reacted to the poster of UDA nominated Senator Hon Gloria Orwaba along Nairobi CBD which calls for free issuance of pads to school-going girls.
“She has put these posters everywhere in Nairobi CBD but she was in State House today with the team that supports Finance Bill, which proposes to tax Sanitary towels,” Hon Alinur Mohamed wrote on his Facebook page.
The top Raila ally revealed that the Senator is among UDA leaders who had gone to the State House for a meeting which has been called by President Ruto ahead of the tabling of Finance Bill 2024.
