A week after Timber XO club, associated with Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi was officially launched and opened, a section of Eldoret residents have threatened to close it down.
Speaking in Eldoret town, the seemingly agitated residents accused the Ruto allied MP of opening a big club near a school (Nova Pioneer School Eldoret) which is against the law.
“Timber Club is just 100 meters away from Nova School. We ask the county commissioner to take action and close the club immediately. We have seen other clubs near schools closed who is Sudi to keep operating? we demand its closure as Eldoreta nd Kapseret residents or we will close it ourselves,” lamented one resident
However, others took it personally and questioned the source of Sudi’s source of huge money that he usually donates in fundraisings. They wondered why he usually donated more money than Ruto, insisting that the source of his money should be investigated
“The president and his deputy are fighting against alcohol yet Dudi is opening a big club here. How can a man like Sudi donate more money in Harmbees that even the president? Where is he getting these kinds of money? He should work for Kapseret residents
They also attacked Sudi, claiming he keeps bragging that he has never stepped in parliament. They wondered how his constituents will be heard when he could not step or even express himself in parliament.
The bitter relationship between udi and a section of leaders in Eldoret started after Sudi was accused of attacking DP Rigathi Gachagua. Sudi on his hand has maintained that he will not be threatened warning that residents should shun off and not allow themselves be used to spread tribalism in Uasin Gishu.
He said despite having Marakwet origin, he was born and raised in Uasin Gishu and nobody should lecture him based on his sub-tribe.
