As the government of Kenya is working extra hard to make sure that all Kenyans are in good health, new details have just emerged about another maize flour that has been confirmed to have high aflatoxin levels, which is also harmful to human consumption.
As per the latest updates shared by a well-known source this hour and at the same time circulating on social media, all Kenyans have been asked to avoid buying Sherehe GMS maize flour. The Ministry of Health has confirmed that the said brand has a high content of aflatoxins, which are harmful to human consumption.
Further, the ministry of health has issued orders asking the authority to confiscate immediately to reduce the amount the amount being supplied to consumers.
I quote some statements from the source, “Laboratory analysis on April 30 of Sherehe GSM maize flour with no batch number has shown that the flour contains a high level of aflatoxin above the requirements of 10.0 ppb. The level records 714 ppb,” reads the letter.
This happens as the government has been working extra hard to make sure that all Kenyans are safe and are buying high-quality products in the country.
