According to Punch, Korra Obidi, the well-known dancer and entertainer, has revealed her plans to take legal action to protect her parental rights, launching a crowdfunding campaign on GoFundMe to cover her legal expenses.
In a statement shared on Friday, Obidi expressed her gratitude for the support she has received thus far, acknowledging the contributions made to her GoFundMe campaign.
“I am incredibly grateful for all your support. There are no words to express how thankful I am to each one of you,” Obidi said in an update on the GoFundMe campaign.
She continued, “I’ve been monitoring the contributions, and the funds are coming in. I’ve consulted with my lawyer, and we’re actively working on it.”
Obidi’s decision to pursue legal action appears to stem from ongoing challenges with her former partner, with whom she is engaged in a contentious separation.
She aims to assert her rights as a mother and ensure unrestricted access to her children. “I am determined to hold the responsible party accountable for the abuse my children endured. I will fight to have my maternal rights reinstated. No one will censor my content or restrict my children’s freedom to visit Africa or Nigeria,” she asserted.
