The Education Cabinet Secretary, while giving a brief, noted that the term two limits, might be extended, particularly for form four candidates, who are expected to sit for their final exams, at the end of the year. The cabinet secretary, went ahead to explain that the August holiday, which was expected to be three weeks long, may be reduced by days to recover for the lost time.
“Particularly for form four candidates, we will see how we can recover time lost by extending [the second term by] a few days. They were expected to close for three weeks in August and we might minimise the number of days schools will be closed.” Education Cabinet secretary, Ezekiel Machogu said.
