Kenyans have been notified areas expected to receive heavy rainfall as from tomorrow onwards. The Highlands West of Rift Valley, Lake Victoria basin and Rift Valley including Nairobi, Nandi, Kericho, Bomet, Kakamega, Vigiha, Bungoma, Siaya, Kisumu, Homabay, Migori, Narok, Elgeyo Marakwet and West Pokot counties are expected to receive heavy rains over several places.
Morning showers as well afternoon and night showers are expected over several places during the first half of forecast period reducing to few places thereafter. Impressively afternoon and night showers and thunderstorms are expected over several places. Members of the public especially those living in those areas prone to floods urged to move to high areas.
North Western Kenya especially Turkana and Samburu counties are also expected to receive morning rains as well as afternoon and night showers over few places. Those areas include, Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Tharaka Nithi and Nairobi counties will receive moderate rains as from today onwards.
All Kenyans especially parents and guardians have been urged by the government to release their children to school as from Monday. Weatherman reveals that it is safe for the learners to go to school.
