Wednesday, the 8th of May, was indeed a special day for renowned Kenyan journalist Hassan Mugambi.
This is because his wife Mwanaidy Shishi was turning a year older. Like any other husband out there, the award-winning journalist was indeed proud of her milestone.
The former Citizen TV news anchor therefore marked it in style.
He infact posted a photo of them together on Instagram and then penned her a heartwarming message, where he wished her the very best in this new chapter.
“Happy Birthday my love. May the Almighty Allah continue to bless you with good health” Hassan Mugambi wrote.
As Hassan Mugambi celebrates Mwanaidy Shishi today on her birthday, it should be noted that the two have been married for close to a year now.
According to reports, the couple did their traditional Nubian wedding on Friday the 9th of June, at Makina Mosque in Kibra, Nairobi.
It was a private event that was attended by only invited friends and close family members.
Mwanaidy Shishi, who is the owner of Mama Nilishe in Kilimani and Hassan Mugambi who currently works in the Ministry of Defence, followed this by doing a while wedding just a day later.
Now this was attended by many people, including fellow journalists like Linus Kaikai, Rashid Abdalla and his wife Lulu Hassan, Swaleh Mdoe, Jamila Mohammed, NTV’s Olive Burrows, Zainab Ismail and also Leila Mohammed.
Hassan Mugambi’s and Mwanaidy Shishi’s white wedding was a lavish occasion, with the decor being top notch.
According to reports, the couple had dated for about a year before they decided to take their relationship to the next level.
As we speak, Hassan Mugambi and Mwanaidy Shishi are in a blended marriage.
This is because the former Citizen TV news anchor came into the relationship with a daughter that he got in a previous relationship, while the sassy entrepreneur came with two sons.
