His excellency president William Samoei Arap Ruto, has always maintained a cordial working relationship with all governors drawn from the 47counties of Kenya. Prioritizing development in all corners of Kenya, the head of state many a times has shown his trust in devolution.
However considering the Nyanza region which boasts of a number of experienced leaders, in which includes honourables James Orengo of Siaya, Professor Nyong’o, Ochillo Ayacko and Gladys Wanga, the head of state seems to be closer with governor Wanga of Homabay.Photo courtesy: HE president Ruto welcomed by governor Wanga during a past event.
Going by his social media handles, HE William Ruto follows only 76 people or pages on his main account of facebook. Obviously with the list comprising of top politicians across Kenya and various news outlets, the only governor in the category from Nyanza is Hon Wanga from homabay county.
Others includes heads of state drawn up from across the continent. The people of Homabay county can be said to have benefited from this given the number of developing trips, that the head of state has made in the region including the opening up of the pier and expansion of the Kabunde airstrip amongst others.
